Buildings make cities. For older cities, Hamilton-Burlington, architecture is a link to the past. Buildings are a reminder of eras gone by each with their own style and design principles. In the Bay Area (Hamilton-Burlington-Grimsby) new developments are breaking ground in record numbers adding a variety of new styles to the diverse heritage structures already present.

My blog will chronicle new developments as they are constructed from beginning to end focusing on how they provide value to the community through quality, design and functionality.

I hope to start a conversation about design standards in the Bay Area learning what types of buildings provide the most value to community members.
